With monthly payments of  approximately $1,600 (after 20% down, including taxes and insurance),  a $300,000 home in Scottsdale is affordable for many, especially as compared to rent payments for comparable rental properties.

Though inventory changes frequently, here are some different choices for Communities in Scottsdale that have recently seen home sales around $300,000.

A newer starter home or vacation home in  the North Scottsdale community of Terravita

$300,000 will buy you a small home in the desert golf community of Terravita.  The community is located in North Scottsdale, so its a drive for those who have to commute into town.  Peace and quiet is the norm in Terravita, with desert landscapes, walking trails, and yes, the golf course.   Terravita homes have vaulted ceilings and open floorplans. Because they were built in the 90′s most homes for sale here are in turnkey condition.

A newer home just north of the Kierland area in Triple Crown
$300,000 will buy you a small-to-medium sized home in Triple Crown.  We like this community, because neighbors keep their homes and yards up, and the homes have open and airy floorplans with some nice interior upgrades.  $300,000 is the base price for homes here, with more homes in the $400′s and $500′s.  The community has neighborhood parks and green areas. Location is key for this community, with easy access to the 101 to commute anywhere in the valley.

An older home in the lush community of McCormick Ranch

McCormick Ranch continues to be a popular community because of its location near downtown Scottsdale amenities and easy access to the Scottsdale greenbelt that runs through the area.  Yes, the homes are older in McCormick Ranch, but many have been remodeled.   You’ll get spacious in McCormick Ranch for $300,000, and probably a larger yard and some mature landscaping with a palm tree or two!
